Antimicrobial* Copper
CuVerro® Antimicrobial Copper Surfaces are registered with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to be effective against the following disease-causing bacteria:
- E. coli O157:H7
- Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)
- Staphylococcus aureus (i.e. staph)
- Vancomycin-Resistant Enterococcus faecalis (VRE)
- Enterobacter aerogenes
- Pseudomonas aeruginosa
CuVerro® Antimicrobial Copper Alloys have been rigorously tested and are regulated as a pesticide by the EPA for their pathogen-killing properties.
Laboratory testing has shown that when cleaned regularly, this surface:
- Kills greater than 99.9% of bacteria* within two hours, and continues to kill 99% of bacteria* even after repeated contamination.
- Delivers continuous and ongoing antibacterial* action, remaining effective in killing greater than 99.9% of bacteria within 2 hours.
- Helps inhibit buildup and growth of bacteria* within 2 hours of exposure between routine cleaning and sanitization steps.
- Kills greater than 99.9% of Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria* within 2 hours of exposure.
- Continuously reduces bacterial* contamination, achieving 99.9% reduction within 2 hours of exposure.

Incorporate CuVerro® Antimicrobial Copper Alloys into your Infection Control Program
CuVerro® Antimicrobial Copper Alloys continuously kill bacteria* that can cause infections. Surfaces made from CuVerro® inherently possesses properties that kill 99.9% of bacteria* within 2 hours.
Midbrook Medical is an EPA-Registered facility for the production of products made from CuVerro®. Our experienced metal workers can build any custom item that you wish, or we can provide you with ideas for replacing standard high-touch surfaces with CuVerro®. Our products areaffordable.
Installing copper is a worthwhile investment. While copper products are generally 10-25% more expensive than stainless steel, products made with CuVerro® offer the added benefit of killing 99.9% of infection-causing bacteria* within 2 hours. With just one infection costing a healthcare facility $10,000 to $25,000¹, infection control practices are at the forefront of this discussion, and options to improve or supplement current practices could offer significant cost savings.
Harness the properties of Antimicrobial Copper and protect your facility from some of the most dangerous bacteria* found in healthcare settings.
Many High-Touch Items can be Made with CuVerro® Antimicrobial* Copper:
